After a year of sending weekly event roundups, we realized we could serve you better. So we hit pause, reimagined what Hilalz Dallas could be, and came back with a plan to make it actually indispensable.

Starting today, here's what's new:

🎤 Weekly Muslim Business Spotlight - Spotlights and real interviews with Dallas Muslim business owners & entrepreneurs. The stories behind the shawarma, the hustle behind the hijab boutique, the heart behind your favorite halal spot. Our first one is with the Hilalz Team!

📍 Dallas Muslim Business Directory (coming soon) - Muslim-owned businesses in DFW, searchable and categorized. No more "Is this business Muslim-Owned?" uncertainty.

Imam ARB is breaking down the story of Deir Yaseen and how one village changed the course of Palestinian history. Middle and High schoolers, Join Br. Zohair Memon for a bonfire session where we’ll be exposing the ultimate catfish: Shaytan and his "Art of Deception." We’re talking real talk on how he tries to trip us up, all while reflecting on our Ramadan goals. Plus, there’s pizza and a DIY s'mores station.

If your post-Eid plans currently involve nothing but leftovers and a nap, it’s time to spice things up! The Islamic Center of Irving is transforming its grounds into a full-blown festival and souq. Whether you’re trying to tire the kids out in the bounce houses or hunting for unique finds at the vendor stalls, you are sure to enjoy this event.

ICF: 🍕 The Hangout
Teens, if your Sunday afternoon usually involves staring at a loading screen or "resting your eyes" until Monday hits, we’ve got a better plan. The Hangout at ICF is the move for anyone ages 13-17 looking to actually do something meaningful. Led by Ustadh Safi Khan, it’s a space to grab some solid food and share a few laughs.

Is there anything that tastes better than a breakfast you didn't have to cook yourself? We didn't think so. The Sachse Muslim Society is hosting a post-Fajr community breakfast, and honestly, the "reward of Hajj and Umrah" should be enough to get you out of bed, but the promise of a tasty breakfast definitely helps.
