The Weekend: ๐Fall-tastic Evening, Friday Night Hoops, & Much More!๐
๐๏ธ Almost November!
As-salamu alaikum! Itโs the last day of October, which means a fresh, exciting weekend is finally here. Whether youโre planning to curl up with a book, enjoy the lovely autumn weather, or step out for an adventure, your Hilalz Dallas guide has you covered. We've gathered the must-know community events, and all the best tips to make this Friday-to-Sunday stretch a memorable and blessed one. Let the recharge begin!
๐ก The Value of Time
We often spend our weeks wishing for the weekend, forgetting that every moment is a precious, non-renewable resource. The Prophet (peace be upon him) reminded us that two blessings many people are in loss concerning are health and free time. This weekend, letโs view time not just as an escape from work, but as an opportunityโto draw closer to Allah, connect with family, and improve ourselves.
Do: Create a short Weekend Intention List. Don't list chores, but intentions. Maybe it's: 1) Pray all five prayers on time, 2) Have one meaningful conversation with a parent/spouse/child/friend, and 3) Read five pages of the Qur'an or a beneficial book. Focusing on intentionality turns free time into spiritual gain.
