EID MUBARAK Dallas!

Taqabbal Allahu minna wa minkum — may Allah accept from all of us. 🤍

We'll be honest: this week's issue is a little lighter than usual. Our family is still in full Eid mode enjoying these few days celebrating together. That being said, we didn't want to miss a Friday with you, so here we are. This week we're keeping it simple: a few Eid celebrations still happening around DFW this weekend worth checking out, a halal find that has been the talk of the community (Ayat Dallas) , and a reflection to help carry the barakah of these blessed days a little longer. Enjoy the rest of these blessed Eid days and we'll be back in full force next Friday. 🌿

💭 FAITH REFLECTION — The Days After Eid

Allahu Akbar. Allahu Akbar. Allahu Akbar.

Just a few days ago, those words rang out across DFW — from parking lots and prayer fields, from living rooms and masjid halls. The takbeer, the hugs, the food, the joy. And now, as the Eid glow begins to settle, here's a gentle reminder: the barakah of these days doesn't have to end with the holiday.

We are still in the days of Tashreeq — the 11th, 12th, and 13th of Dhul Hijjah — and the dhikr of Allah continues to be especially encouraged during this time.

"And remember Allah during the appointed days." (Al-Baqarah: 203)

The appointed days are now. The takbeer isn't over. The gratitude isn't over. Eid was the celebration, but the connection to Allah that these ten days built is meant to stay with us long after the last plate of food is finished.

This week's action: Keep the takbeer going a little longer. Keep the generosity alive — if you haven't already given your Qurbani or settled your sadaqah, there's still time. And carry one thing from this Eid season forward: a softened heart, a repaired relationship, a renewed commitment. Allah accepted from Ibrahim (A.S.) not the sacrifice, but the sincerity. Let that sincerity linger.

Taqabbal Allahu minna wa minkum — may Allah accept from all of us. 🤍
