Assalamu Alaikum, Dallas!

🌿Eid Al-Adha is just around the corner, and the DFW community is already getting into the spirit: the IANT Pre-Eid Bazaar is happening this Saturday in Richardson, and it's the perfect way to find your Eid outfit, support local vendors, and soak in that community energy before the big day. We're also spotlighting two businesses that deserve a place in your life — Nadrah Accessories in Irving, where modest fashion meets genuine sisterhood, and Yearby's BBQ in Plano, the fully halal smokehouse that Texas Monthly named one of the top 50 BBQ spots in the entire state. And on Sunday, MAS Dallas, ICNA, and CAIR Texas are hosting an important emergency community meeting on Islamophobia — one worth showing up for. It's a full week. Let's go. 🌿

💭 FAITH REFLECTION — Don't Let These Days Slip Away

A few days ago, we reminded you that the first ten days of Dhul Hijjah are the most beloved days of the entire year to Allah. Now we're in them. The clock is running — and the opportunity in front of you right now is too precious to sleepwalk through.

If you've already been intentional this week, keep going. If life got in the way and you haven't started yet — start now. There are still days left, and Allah does not need you to have been perfect from day one. He just needs you to show up today.

And then there's the Day of Arafah.

The Prophet ﷺ said: "There is no day on which Allah frees more people from the Fire than the Day of Arafah. He comes close and expresses His pride to the angels, saying: 'What do these people want?'" (Muslim)

One single day where the gates of mercy are flung wide open, where du'a is answered at a rate unlike any other day of the year, where Allah draws near and asks — what do you want from Me? The pilgrims will be standing on the plains of Arafah. But you don't have to be there physically for your heart to be present.

This week's action: Mark this Tuesday, the Day of Arafah on your calendar right now. The Prophet ﷺ said it expiates the sins of the past year and the coming year. And set aside time that day — even 15 to 20 minutes — to make du'a with full presence. Write your list beforehand. Ask for everything. Ask for your family, your health, your deen, your rizq, the ummah. Ask for the things you've been too shy to ask for.

These days don't come back. Make them count. 🤲

❝ The Prophet ﷺ said: “The best supplication is the supplication on the Day of 'Arafah, and the best words that I and the prophets before me have said are 'La ilaha illa Allah, wahdahu la sharika lahla hul mulk wa lahul hamd wa huwa ala kulli shayin qadeer.” (Muslim)

BUSINESS SPOTLIGHT

Nadrah Accessories

Where Modest Fashion Meets Real Community Love

Finding an abaya that's beautiful, affordable, and backed by an owner who actually cares about you? That's exactly what sisters across DFW have been discovering at Nadrah Accessories in Irving. With a 4.9-star rating across over a hundred Google reviews, this family-owned modest fashion boutique has quietly become one of the most beloved Muslim-owned businesses in the metroplex. Sisters come in looking for a hijab and leave with a whole new wardrobe — and a new friend. One longtime customer said the owner spent two full hours advising her on her selection, with prices that came in at "half the industry standard." Another drove in from out of state after finding the shop on Etsy and was so touched by the personalized service she's already planning her next order.

Nadrah carries a gorgeous rotating collection of abayas, hijabs, khimars, scarves, and modest gowns. They have styles that range from elegant and flowy to modern and structured. Popular pieces like the Boubou Abaya, Fareedah Gown, and Mom's Hood Abaya regularly sell out, so it's worth checking in often. Can't make it to the store? They ship across the USA with free delivery on orders over $50, and they're also available on Etsy and eBay. Whether you're shopping for yourself, your daughters, or that perfect modest outfit for an upcoming occasion — Nadrah has you covered, with heart. Nadrah also sets up at many of the local masjid bazaars so you may find her wonderful selection at your next bazaar outing.

HALAL FIND

The Halal BBQ Spot That's Changing the Game

Yearby’s is a Texas BBQ owned by husband and wife that made the bold decision to open a fully halal smokehouse — no pork, no alcohol — in Texas, of all places. What started as a humble food truck grew into something so good that Texas Monthly put them on their list of the Top 50 BBQ Joints in the entire state. Now they've brought the whole operation closer to us, relocating from Pilot Point to a new Plano location at the corner of Alma Drive and Parker Road. The menu features slow smoked brisket, ribs, turkey, and meatloaf alongside hearty sides — and don't sleep on the smoked meatloaf. They also serve Sabrina's signature waterice, a refreshing dairy-free dessert straight from her Philadelphia roots.
